TOP Group Information
6-9 year olds | 3 sessions/week
The TOP (Tiny Olympic Prospects) Groups are designed for developing competitive swimmers who are building foundational skills and gaining experience in a structured training and competition environment. Athletes in these groups typically participate in swim meets once a month, with most competitions lasting one to two days. These events provide an excellent introduction to racing and help swimmers apply their training in a competitive setting.
Swimmers in the TOP Groups train three times per week through to the end of June. Practices focus on developing proper stroke technique, improving overall fitness, learning basic race strategies, and fostering a love for the sport. The program also emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and the development of positive training habits.
The TOP Groups serve as an important early stage in the athlete development pathway, helping young swimmers become comfortable with competition while establishing the skills and mindset needed for future progression. Athletes are encouraged to be consistent, enthusiastic, and open to learning as they work toward their individual goals and support their teammates.
